This blog is to document some of the adventures of Zion as he goes about his daily life in Mullumbimby. Zion is loved and cared for by a team of dedicated people and his delightful mother Christine. Each week they go out into the community for some nature loving, sketching and social activities in the Northern Rivers Region.
This week it was the beach. The whale season is in full swing and the balmy Winter ocean is crystal clear and shimmery blue on quiet days and huge pounding surf on rough days. Seaweed, driftwood and howling winds. Sunshine, fish and campfires.
This week there were pods of dolphins and gentle waves washing into the shore. Zion sat in the icy water and it never seems to bother him how cold it is. He swims everyday in his natural rainwater pool in Paradise.
His walk up the beach involves playing with many dogs that walk up and down Brunswick Beach, as it is one of the only dog walking beaches left in the shire.
