Zion's paintings are both done in both watercolour and acrylic paint. He begins by sketching his subject either straight on to the canvas or in a sketchbook. He then colours and outlines all the details. His enthusiasm for flowers animals and insects is evident in the subject matter of his works. He also loves people and has the unique ability to capture their very essence.
Zion also creates paintings on ceramic pieces. These are both functional and beautiful. Glazed in beautiful vivid colours with sea creatures, Australian marsupials, birds, flowers and all manner of natural life. Large cheese platters, dishes, bowls, jugs, teapots plates, and vases.
