Spring is here

by Story Teller | Aug 22, 2024 | Out and About

This week Zion has been having a wonderful time out and about in Byron Bay, Brunswick Heads and Mullumbimby. Spring has definitely arrived in the sub-tropics and life is awakening from it's Winter slumber.

This week his drama group enjoyed some impromptu acting, as their main man Rohan was unavailable to run things. Brian Dale stepped in to facilitate the vigorous morning's antics. After this they all set off as usual to Torokina Beach in Brunswick Heads for lunch. Zion always prepares his own gourmet lunch. Two full tables of happy people spending time socialising. Zion had his photo taken with Saffron, Emma and his loving carer Gitta. Next it was off for walk on the break wall and everyone was lucky enough to see a whale breaching. The weather was nice and sunny again so a great day was had by all.

Zion began the week with a visit to 'The Farm' in Byron Bay. A wonderful venture where they run a gourmet restaurant and bakery and grow an abundant array of produce on their large farm. The entrance is located at the first exit from the main roundabout turning off the freeway into Byron Bay. They also sell coffee and cake, lovely lunches, and farm grown produce.

There are many characters in the streets of Byron Bay. The man with the Hula Hoop is always on the street somewhere busking. There is always someone to entertain you as you stroll the streets of Byron.

Mullumbimby morning decaf coffee is always on the agenda on Thursdays, as Zion gives his hugs freely to all his friends in the street. He was delighted to see his dear friend Lee Spykers. Then back to Paradise to paint a birthday present for Saffron, and to work on his major art piece.
