It was birthday week this week and with the beautiful Spring weather and the light the beach was fantastic. Crystal clear water and comfortable temperatures created a wonderful day out at the Hastings Creek. This week has coincided with high tide, so conditions couldn't have been better.
After the regular Drama Group where the play dance was rehearsed, it was party time and Zion's nearest and dearest gathered together for food, cake and dancing. Fun was had by all, old friends and new, and a memorable day was created. Zion enjoyed and shared the delicious birthday cake with everyone.
Preparation has begun for Zion's upcoming major exhibition at the Tweed Regional Gallery next year. Selection of works is underway with the curator visited this week to assist in the process. Zion has now completed one of his major works and begun painting another version of his favourite parrots again.
