This week has been a very wet week for everyone in the Northern Rivers of NSW. Flash flooding has been occurring everywhere and has meant that staying home has often been the safest option. The creek crossing on the road to Paradise was flooded for a while. Zion has been happily working on this latest painting tentatively called Paradise which includes his home and family. He has also completed a painting of himself and his mum. It has been warm and cosy by the fireside as we all prepare for Spring.
I has been drama as usual for Zion and his peers this week. In this play called 'Sunscreen', Zion has the role of a yogi. It is common for the large class to have lunch together on Torokina Beach and walk the break wall together after rehearsals. This week it was too wet to do this so it was back home to paint.
New Brighton markets was the destination on Tuesday morning for coffee and some shopping. Beautiful fresh ground coffee and organic farmer grown vegetables. What could be better than that.
