Zion Moving Forward

by Loretta | Jun 18, 2026 | Out and About

It is with much relief that Zion got the all clear from his last orthopaedic appointment at Tweed Hospital yesterday. His shattered leg has mended very well, albeit with a lot of metal help and should be good moving forward into his latter years.
His walking stick is now gone but a new awareness of the dangers of unexpected trip hazards and boisterous dogs is now apparent in his daily ventures.

His art is progressing beautifully and he is currently preparing for a small window exhibition at the Byron School of Art in Mullumbimby from 30th June to 16th July, one week of which co-incides with the infamous 'Mud Trail'.

His renewed interest in ceramics means that there will be several ceramic pieces on display as
well as some of his acrylic on canvas paintings.

Brighten up your Winter days and take a stroll past the BSA in Dalley St, opposite the old Farmcare building to observe a burst of colourful joy. Great to see Zion back to his old cheerful and active self out and about in the local community.
